Ok...here I go...the writing part of this whole blogging thing...it's harder than one can imagine. I attempted to blog several years ago when I became a mom and was raising a child on the spectrum by myself. But to be honest it was hard - and I was pissy all the time. Then the door opened again way more recently and I knew I HAD to jump back up and try this again! So let's start with what happened and how STOKED I am - like excited about something - really excited!

As corny as this sounds - it all started yesterday. I walked in from work to my 10-year-old saying "Hi mom, you had a package at the door." First thought did I buy more leggings?!? I have a serious addition to 2 things: books and leggings.

I looked at the package left for me on the counter and realized it was not a leggings package and I didn't recognize the return senders information. I was very confused. I opened the package and pulled out a book...that I didn't remember ordering.

The book came with a flyer - and I quickly realized I had an ADVANCED READER COPY! I was picked to read a book and review it prior to it being published! WHAT!?! SERIOUSLY!?!

Now if you have known me since my junior high - book nerd years...you would know that this was my dream. I wanted to be that girl who read 4-5 books every 3 days and reviewed them on social media or edited them for publishers. This was my dream job and what I went to school for as an undergrad.

(This dream job of mine would then be depicted in 50 Shades of Grey by Miss Anastasia Steele - who I would end up being very jealous of.)

I broke in the book last night and read the first 50 pages and followed the directions to a 'T' on the flyer. I can't wait to share my reviews with you all and maybe some silly stories or tidbits of information about reading and finding books to keep your imagination active!
